The McClures, husband and wife Paul and Hannah, provide listeners with a festive helping of holiday music with their debut Christmas EP, “Christmas Morning.” There are five original songs and a new rendition of “O Holy Night” all set in a pop-folk style. The jewel is the title cut. “We chose ‘Christmas Morning’ as the title track because it encapsulates, to me, what Christmas is,” Paul McClure said in a release. “It tells the story of the gospel, of Jesus coming to earth. It tells the significance of what that means; the Father loved the world so much that he sent Jesus. I think this song captures what we wanted to talk about—the Rescuer coming to save us at Christmas.” The first verse wraps up the purpose of Christ’s coming. “It starts with a story; Of the babe born in Bethlehem; It ends with the glory; Of a spotless Lamb being raised again.” Powerful lyrics and beautiful music makes this EP an inviting option to anyone’s Christmas listening this season.
