Now that Synod 2019 has adopted radical changes to the ministry share system, how will the new system be rolled out? Steve Timmermans, executive director of the Christian Reformed Church, said the roll-out will include two components: education and listening.
Kristen deRoo VanderBerg, director of communications, said churches can expect a mailing later this summer laying out plans for the new ministry share system. This will begin what she described as a systematic attempt to get out information to the churches. She was less sure about how the administration would get feedback on the new system from the churches. Saying that plans were still loose, she suggested the churches would be surveyed in some yet-to-be-determined fashion.
