To foster fellowship between these groups, Hanna Na, the administrative assistant for the church, organized a November camping weekend attended by about 20 people at Hickory Run State Park in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania.

They cooked samgyupal and other Korean foods. Evening fellowship included prayer, singing, and testimonies around the fire, ending with the all-American treat “s’mores.”

The night was freezing, but once the morning sun rose, campers warmed up with after-breakfast hikes on the many trails in the park.

Andy Park, one of the participants, said he was blessed by the connections made between the two congregations during the weekend and felt “mentally and spiritually renewed.” Hanna Na thought the event was a “wonderful time of fellowship” under the stars. The church plans to do it again next year.
