Race Relations is a ministry by which the Christian Reformed Church provides leadership and assistance to the denomination, congregations, and members of the CRC in working to eliminate racism and its effects within the body of believers and throughout the world.
Five ministries serve as vehicles for Race Relations to do this work: All Nations Heritage Week, the Dance of Racial Reconciliation (DORR) workshops, Multiethnic Conference, Race Relations Scholarships, and Women of the Nations.
What’s New
The Office of Race Relations awards an annual scholarship to applicants attending Reformed institutions of higher education. This year, $16,000 was awarded to 16 scholarship recipients from Calvin College, Calvin Theological Seminary, Dordt College, and Kuyper College.
Funding for the scholarships comes from offerings received at All Nations Heritage Sunday celebration services that are designated to support the work of Race Relations.

Quick Facts
- DORR training has been in operation since September 2006. Thus far, 250 participants have completed the workshops offered to agency boards, staff, churches, and several institutions.
- The DORR curriculum has been translated into and conducted in Spanish.
- The next Multiethnic Conference will be held in June 2009 at Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, Ill.
- The next Women of the Nations summit will be held April 11-12, 2008, in Grand Rapids, Mich.
