The Christian Reformed Church is one church in two nations. Canadian Ministries are the church’s response to ministry opportunities that arise out of Canada’s experience and history.

What’s New

The CRC marked its 100th anniversary in Canada by staging the largest cross-Canada bicycle tour ever held. “Sea to Sea with the CRC” involved 157 cyclists representing many of the CRC’s 240 Canadian congregations.

The cyclists left Jericho Beach in Vancouver, British Columbia, on June 25 and finished their ride on Sept. 3 at Pier 21 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the place where many Dutch immigrants first touched Canadian soil (including cyclist Ton Lobert, of Burlington, Ontario, who arrived from the Netherlands in 1957 when he was 22).

Nine rallies were held across Canada to enhance the tour goals of celebration, unity, and building new church communities. About 6,500 people from southern and central Ontario attended the largest rally in Guelph, Ontario.

In addition, the tour raised awareness for the Micah Challenge and Make Poverty History, two global poverty campaigns seeking justice for the world’s poorest people.
