Louie Giglio founded the “Passion” movement in 1997 to encourage college-age young people to lives of radical faith. Passion involves conferences, music, and financial offerings for people in poverty in the United States and the world. More than 40,000 students attended the 2016 conferences in Houston and Atlanta.
The latest Passion music offering,Salvation’s Tide Is Rising, was unveiled at this year’s conference. The upbeat, 10-track album features a host of today’s top Christian artists including Chris Tomlin, Crowder, Matt Redman, Christy Nockels, and Kristian Stanfill. Chris Tomlin’s “God and God Alone” is a highlight; Stanfill closes the CD with his rendition of “Good, Good Father,” a currently popular worship song. The whole record points the listener to God and the glory due him. (SixSteps)
