The Foundation of the Christian Reformed Church, which is made up of the CRC-Canada Foundation and the CRC-U.S. Foundation, provides an avenue for gifts and bequests in support of the ministry work of the denomination.
The foundation helps to fund areas of ministry that are broader than any single agency and that benefit the whole church. It also assists agencies in the development of new ministries.
What’s New
The Foundation devoted a great deal of its efforts in 2007 to raising funds to help the denomination celebrate its 150th anniversary.
Foundation board members in Canada are Leo Van Tuyl, chairman, Bruce Adema, John Bolt, Jerry Dykstra, John Pasma, Patricia Storteboom, and Gary Van Arragon. Board members in the United States are John Bolt, Jim Clousing, Jerry Dykstra, Robert Lyzenga, and Sari Mills.
In August 2007 Peter Harkema began his work as the director of denominational advancement. In this position, he will be working closely with both the Canadian and U.S. Foundation boards.
