On May 6, 600 people from Toronto-area Christian Reformed churches gathered to celebrate the CRC’s 150th anniversary. The service featured the children of Toronto’s Friendship CRC presenting a lively drama of the crossing of the Jordan River.
Former Banner editor Rev. John Suk, who preached at the event, said, “While the church is always a mess because its people track mud down the aisle like they’ve just crossed the Jordan River, what makes church [the] church is not our perfection, but Jesus’ perfection.”
