The creators of The Jesus Storybook Bible have joined forces once again in this delightful, easy-to-hold board book. Author Sally Lloyd-Jones’s sweet, simple text based on Psalm 92 and illustrator Jago’s vivid, spirited pictures invite young children to sing happy songs to God and thank him for all the good things he created.
Children learn that it’s appropriate at any time to sing songs and offer thanksgiving to God: “In the morning it’s good to say—God you always love me! / At nighttime it’s good to say—God you always care for me! / All through the day I give my happy songs to you.” Children are also encouraged to sing and give thanks to God for the sun in the bright sky, the rain, fresh shoots in the garden, flowers, grass, blustery wind, storms, and snow.
The book ends in a song of praise and thanksgiving: “For all the earth you made so beautiful for me— / Thank you, God! / Everything you do is wonderful. / You fill my heart full of happiness.”
