Two children enjoy all the things they encounter during a day the Lord has made. Outside their home, butterflies, grasshoppers, bees, ladybugs, and other creatures abound. The children notice that “the gifts of the Lord are found everywhere, and all that I see is just like a prayer. So much of creation is happy and good. Even the rocks would sing if they could!”
As their joyful day unfolds, the children and their parents visit a zoo. They admire bears, otters, elephants, and other animals, each one created for God’s glory. A visit to a farmers’ market displays harvest bounty. Afterward, the family enjoys a delicious meal at home—another reason for thanksgiving to God.
In this rhyming picture book with vibrant illustrations by Lucy Fleming, young children will be encouraged to see and understand that God’s goodness permeates their entire lives and that everything is a gift from him. (Zonderkidz)
