Worship collective Here Be Lions offers thunderous praise with its first album, Only a Holy God. The music celebrates the holiness and power of God with a reflective nature. It runs more than an hour in length and is best absorbed over longer periods of time.
“Wildfire” begins the 12-track set and asks the Holy Spirit to come like a wildfire. “Arise and Shine” encourages listeners to shout God’s praises and rejoices over victory in the Father and Son. The anthem “We’re Singing Holy” speaks of devotion to God.
According to the group’s website, Here Be Lions “takes its name from the ancient mapping tradition in which explorers marked unknown dangerous territory with the symbol and phrase ‘Here Be Lions.’” Rather than a warning, the group sees it as a challenge to reach new people and resources for God’s kingdom.
