This spring and summer, my favorite thing to do was take a walk around my neighborhood. I would lace up my shoes, grab my headphones, and set out to get some fresh air to combat the stir-craziness of quarantine. I craved something good to listen to as I walked, and after searching through Spotify, I found what I was looking for: the SHE podcast with Jordan Lee Dooley.
SHE is a faith-based personal development podcast for women, covering a variety of topics that span many different stages of life. Listeners can learn business advice, self-confidence tips, health and wellness information, relationship guidance, and so much more. Each episode of the SHE podcast is like chatting with a friend over coffee—a friend who gives great advice and wants you to be the best version of yourself you can be.
This friend is Jordan Lee Dooley, an author, speaker, and small business owner who makes it her mission to help women reach their fullest potential. One of Dooley’s most refreshing qualities is her openness to learn. Though she’s the host, she doesn’t portray herself as an expert—she’s as delighted as her listeners to receive words of wisdom and learn new ideas from her special guests. She’s also a great interviewer, making each conversation feel natural and genuine (and she brings the same feeling to her solo episodes as well).
Though the SHE podcast is delivered from a Christian perspective, it’s sure to provide encouragement for any listener. The podcast tagline says it all: “Come invited. Leave ignited.” Considering its chart-stopping status, it’s safe to say that Dooley is accomplishing that for her listeners.
New episodes of the SHE podcast are released weekly and can be streamed or downloaded from most podcast platforms.
