Crows: Genius Birds is the latest release in a science graphic comic series titled “Get to Know Your Universe.” In writing this book, Canadian Kyla Vanderklugt joins the varied team of authors and illustrators responsible for this popular series. The series covers a wide variety of topics from skyscrapers and sharks, to rocks and minerals, to robots and drones, to cats and dogs. Each book includes an introduction by a professional scientist or researcher responsible for providing the background information and verifying the published content. The artist-illustrators in turn worked with the experts to create the texts and graphics.
The result is a lively, informative, and intriguing combination that has appeal for the curious youngster as well as adult. The books each include glossaries as well as other charts and diagrams to round out the information.
