One simple but profound term describes Meredith Andrews’ music: worship. The singer-songwriter’s latest release, Heaven’s Frequency (Live) continues Andrews’ habit of directing listeners in praise and honor of the Lord and Jesus. According to a news release, this work “boasts authentic moments of spontaneous praise, passionate pleas for breakthroughs.”

The 10-song, 64-minute recording features mostly light, reflective pop, but kicks it up a little with the song “Let Everything,” featuring Patrick Mayberry. “Always Do” declares God coming through in the challenges of life. One familiar song is Andrews’ rendition of Kristian Standfill’s “What He’s Done,” thanking God for forgiveness and salvation. A stand-up-and-notice song, “One Word” celebrates the power of God issuing just one word. Part of the lyrics state, “You can move mountains in this place; You can tell atmospheres to change; You can call dead men out of graves; With one word; You can tear every stronghold down; You can tell every lie to bow; You can turn everything around; With one word; Jesus, Jesus; One word from You is enough.” This record compels the listener to sing along, whether one is at church, at home, or driving in a car.
