Jocelyn Green is well-known in the Christian fiction world thanks to her Windy City Saga and other novels, including the Christy Award-winning The Mark of the King. Her newest, which released in June, is the second in the On Central Park series that began with The Metropolitan Affair.

The Hudson Collection stars Elsa Reisner, an ornithologist with the American Museum of Natural History, who is tasked with cataloging the bird collection of the wealthy Van Tessel family that is housed at their Tarrytown, N.Y., mansion named Elmhurst. She must find Mr. Van Tessel’s field journals to find the provenance of each of the many birds stuffed and displayed in almost every room, which starts her on a journey of discovering the details of his wife Birdie Van Tessel’s tragic life. Then add a search for a missing relic that would surpass all of Elsa’s other finds.

Elsa, who walks with a limp due to childhood polio, meets a variety of people during her trips to Elmhurst, including Luke Dupont, an architectural salvage dealer wounded in WWI; Guy Spaulding, nephew of the deceased Birdie and estate executor; Danielle, daughter of the housekeeper; and variety of others. Figuring out who has Birdie’s interests at heart and those who are after the Van Tessel money is as big a task as cataloging all the birds in the mansion.

Elsa's love for birds extends to a growing love for the people she meets at Elmhurst, as well as leading to healing for her family and so many others. The Hudson Collection is a heartfelt and bird-filled tale for all who love good, clean fiction and our feathered friends. (Bethany House)
