Carefully decorated tables form a beautiful Christmas display that’s part of the sizeable holiday outreach of Brookside Christian Reformed Church, Grand Rapids, Mich. Brookside expects to welcome more than 400 people to its annual Christmas Tour of Tables this month. Church members decorate 40 or more tables, which are then used to host a Saturday-morning brunch that includes a speaker who presents a simple gospel message. “We want to show that Christianity is multifaceted,” said Brenda Holtrop, who helps to organize the event.
