Several women from Kanawha (Iowa) Christian Reformed Church hold a monthly craft night to reach out to local area women.
“This is primarily an outreach relationship-building activity,” said Marcia Schulz. “We consider it a gift to the community and try to invite those that are new to the area.”
About 10 to 15 women participate each month. They meet in homes, and the evening also includes dinner and dessert.
Craft activities have included making Christmas ornaments, jewelry, greeting cards, photo album borders, garden stepping-stones, and painted flower pots.
