Bert Adema, director of the Christian Reformed Church’s ministry to aboriginal people in Regina, Saskatchewan, has been awarded the Saskatchewan Centennial Medal. The medal was presented by Lynda Haverstock, the lieutenant governor of Saskatchewan, in celebration of the province’s centennial. Adema was nominated by Warren McCall, a member of the Legislative Assembly in Saskatchewan, for his work with the Indian Metis Christian Fellowship. IMCF is an urban aboriginal ministry established by the CRC in Canada in 1978.
