November 20 proved a momentous day for the Segaar-King family in Grand Rapids, Mich. Both Zachary King and Sharon Segaar-King were ordained into ministry in the Christian Reformed Church, and their twin babies, Vivian and Isaiah, were baptized.
The joyful events took place at Fuller Avenue Christian Reformed Church, Grand Rapids. The couple said they had been praying for seven years for a ministry they could share. In January they will embark on a mission they “never could have imagined,” as they travel with the babies and 2-year-old Hannah to Haiti. There they will work as church and leadership developers with Christian Reformed World Missions. “Our double ordination and double baptism services on one day were wonderful glimpses of the overflowing blessings we have experienced,” said Zachary King.
