Kalamazoo (Mich.) Christian High School captured its division’s state championship in men’s
basketball in March.
The KCHS Comets were a true team and played tremendous team defense and shared the ball well, said Coach Jerry Mastenbrook.
“I had two calls from college coaches who saw the game and were so impressed by the way these kids played together on both the defensive and the offensive ends of the floor,” he said.
Athletic Director Jerry Weesies said, “The strength of this team was not having one individual who stood out but everyone having a role and each player doing his job each game.”
