With a newly completed addition to the church building, Dispatch Christian Reformed Church in Cawker City, Kan., launched three days of celebration in November to mark its 125th anniversary.
Attendees from as far away as Virginia and California enjoyed meals prepared by the church’s three care groups, a youth concert by Nameless Faces out of Wichita, and more.
“Seeing how the torch has been passed from generation to generation,” said Dispatch CRC member Jan Tanis, “and how God has led us and stays with us were some of the highlights of this celebration.”
Eight former pastors, several former members, and about 70 people from the community joined the celebration, which also included neighboring congregations from Prairie View Reformed Church and Luctor Christian Reformed Church.
