Six murals depicting Christ’s sojourn on earth adorn
the glass wall at the rear of Paw Paw (Mich.) Christian Reformed Church.
The murals are the work of church member Jennifer Jepkema. Her six panels depict the birth of Christ, the triumphal entry, the Last Supper, the crucifixion, the open tomb, and the ascension.
Jepkema, an art education student at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Mich., painted the murals during her spring break, using tempera paints. Since the murals are on glass they are visible from the sanctuary and from the fellowship hall.
