In 1906 a few missionaries in Rehoboth, N.M., gathered to worship in a small adobe building that doubled as a dormitory for young Navajo students at Rehoboth Christian School.

Organized by what was then Classis Iowa, the church acquired its first official pastor, Rev. J.W. Brink.

One hundred years later, 300 people gathered in September for an all-day celebration in a newly dedicated church building.

“The Lord has been good to us and answered many prayers of this denomination over the past century,” said Rev. Robert Byker, pastor. “We have recommitted ourselves to be a praying church as we enter this next century.”
