News

As about 200 eager Sea to Sea cyclists arrived in Ontario aboard the Sombra Ferry, they could almost smell the Tim Horton’s coffee. The cyclists were greeted for the Canadian leg of the tour by about 300 Canadian flag-waving, cheering supporters.

“This is the best!” yelled cyclist Matt Rekman of nearby Sarnia, Ontario, as he raced up the hill to greet his family and members of his church and to grab a cup of Canada’s favorite joe.

Jean Doorenspleet of Bowmanville (Ont.) Christian Reformed Church could not hold back tears as she was greeted by her parents. It was the first time she had seen them since the tour began in Seattle in June.
