Pastors from the Reformed Church in America may now be called to serve in the Christian Reformed Church. Synod 2006 made that declaration, completing a change initiated by Synod 2005.
According to the CRC’s Church Order, pastors from other denominations must be examined regarding their theological training, ministerial record, knowledge of the Reformed faith, and exemplariness of life. With this change, RCA pastors will no longer be required to undergo that exam.
