Rev. Pieter Tuit, associate professor of missiology at Calvin Theological Seminary, is leaving that institution in June 2009.
In a letter to students, Tuit said he and his wife, Gail, want to move back to Australia to be near their children and grandchildren.
“It has been an honor and a privilege to have been involved in the ministry of Calvin Seminary,” he said. “I am deeply appreciative of this institution, its mission, its place within the [Christian Reformed Church] and the world.”
Tuit was appointed to the seminary faculty by synod (the church’s annual assembly) in 2001.
