In late April, 155 participants from West Michigan gathered for the Where U At? conference for urban youth.

There they learned about putting on the armor of God, based on Ephesians 6.
“I went to Where U At to reconnect with God and I came back completely ready and armed for the spiritual battle over my life,” said Daysia Moore, 15. “Where U At? changed me for the better.”
Worship times included spoken word poetry, a play, rap and hip-hop music. Several participants dedicated or rededicated their lives to God. At one point, the room was filled with kids running around waving flags for the victory Christ has already won.
The conference also included small group discussions and sports such as basketball and zip-lining.
“It was an uplifting event. The music was great, the message was great and next year will be awesome! I would recommend it to anyone,” said Kiylah Sims, 13.
“I thought it was a unique experience that humbled me greatly,” said Matthew Verstraete, 15. “I have never been in a place where it is one hundred percent different than what I am used to. I hope that I get the chance to have my mind changed again.”
