Reformed Church of Japan Brings Thanks to Synod 2012

Rev. Takashi Yoshida, moderator of the Reformed Church in Japan, brought thanks to Synod 2012 for help given by the Christian Reformed Church following last year’s earthquake and tsunami.

“We came here to express deep appreciation, face to face, for all that you have done and are still doing for us, responding to the great earthquake, tsunami, and the following accident of the nuclear plant,” Yoshida said.

The delegate thanked the denomination for its prayers, donations, and words of encouragement and comfort after last year’s tragedy.

“You showed us what Christian love is, not only by your word, but also by deed,” Yoshida continued.

“I pray that our gracious Lord continue to bless the longstanding relationship between the [CRC] and the Reformed Church in Japan, and use both of us as a vessel for his kingdom and his glory.”
