Rev. Darren Roorda, Canadian ministries director, shared with delegates his excitement about the Christian Reformed Church’s (CRC) recent change of focus regarding Canada’s various CRC ministries. Now, instead of focusing primarily on four of Canada’s individual ministries, the CRC focuses on ministry in Canada as part of a binational church with a “shared purpose and mission” in different contexts.
Roorda said he wants to showcase the uniqueness of ministry in Canada as an integral part of the CRC denomination. “Our goal is to develop mutual learning relationships,” Roorda said.
