How do you love someone who is hard to love? The Grace Card, a film parable of sorts, examines this question through the lives of two police officers. Mac lost his young son in an accident 17 years earlier, and his bitterness has ruined his family and stalled out his career. His new partner, Sam, is a man of God who faces big challenges working with Mac. This well-acted movie is hampered by a contrived plot, but it reminds viewers of the gift of God’s grace that is ours to give and receive. (Samuel Goldwyn Films)
