This book may not be one you’d naturally grab. It’s about economics. But don't let that scare you! It is full of very readable, down-to-earth wisdom from this Kentucky farmer and writer. He notes how we have gotten off track economically in our constant push for more and bigger and faster and more efficient. Berry exposes the myth of Western economics that we hear so often: the economy must expand infinitely. He encourages us to consider the unspeakable but obvious alternative: perhaps more isn't better. Defying conventional approaches, Berry charts out some key steps toward restoring economic sanity. This may be the most important book you read this year. (Counterpoint)
