This conversational book, part of a series, explores the history of the National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) and the stories of Christian drivers involved in the sport.
Many NASCAR drivers have used the sport as a platform to publicly profess their faith in Jesus. The authors examine the struggles drivers have faced in order to find and be faithful to God in “the only sport in which there’s a real chance that this day could be your last.” Drivers repeatedly emphasize the need to practice the spiritual disciplines of Bible reading, prayer, and worship. Motor Racing Outreach, a Christian ministry to NASCAR drivers and their families, assists them in their walk with God. (Barbour)
