Multigenerational and multiracial Celebration Worship provides listeners with a mellow and reflective recording in its ninth album, “Lineage.” The worship team, part of Celebration Church based in Jacksonville, Fla., but with multiple campuses and global outreach, focuses on inclusion. “We’re all at his table together as a family, equal in his eyes. It doesn’t matter what your background or race is,” said worship leader Matt Adcox. “Diversity is at the core of who we are.” The lyrics on “Lineage” signify a major switch from centering on personal problems the Lord can assist with to sincere worship and praising Jesus. “This album was birthed from a place of first stewarding and living lives of worship personally,” said Adcox. One highlight is “Through the Very End,” a ballad about confidence and victory in the Lord. Part of the lyric states, “Lord your goodness and mercy / Follow us through the very end.” The song, “Sound of Revival” possesses an uptempo feel full of praise to the Lord. The words include, “Your Kingdom come / Your will be done / Let praises rise / Hear our battle cry / Lift His banner high; Our king has won / The lion roars / It’s the sound of revival.” This record offers reviving worship music.
