Tiffany Arbuckle Lee, better known as the artist Plumb, does not promote “pie-in-the-sky Christianity.” Her sixth studio album, Need You Now, is another bold, honest, and refreshing work. The music features the 37-year-old’s powerful, distinctive voice with an edgy pop and rock sound. The lyrics are full of crying out to God in desperation and hope. The song “I Want You Here” is dedicated to mothers who have lost a child. At one point in the song, Plumb draws in listeners in a dramatic way as she sings “God help me, God help me, God help me breathe.” Based on her high school struggles with anxiety, the title cut “Need You Now (How Many Times)” is a repeated plea for God’s intervention and has garnered top-10 status on Christian charts.
