Christian Reformed World Missions is charged with taking the transformational power of the gospel to a global setting. World Missions leads the church to respond obediently to our Lord’s commission to witness to the good news of God’s kingdom and to make disciples of all nations.
World Missions helps CRC congregations in North America vigorously participate in mission with churches and other Christian organizations throughout the world.
Consulting with Congregations
Christian Reformed World Missions has held conferences in several parts of North America and works with individual congregations through its team of Missions Resource Consultants. This is one example of the ways in which World Missions works to enable congregations to pursue their passion for missions wherever the Spirit leads them.
Transformation Centers
In an international setting, World Missions has worked to create strategies that reproduce the model set by its Nehemiah Center in Nicaragua and the Daniel Center in Nigeria. These efforts will help to create networks of Christian partnerships for the transformation of communities worldwide.
Special Projects
World Missions works with Christian education institutions and Christian libraries all over the world directly or through partnerships. This year it began coordinating these efforts to give them a more unified and strategic approach that connects them to each other and to North American institutions.
World Missions also works to bring together leaders from different backgrounds in a discipleship network for the sake of learning different forms of ministry and outreach here in North America and abroad.
New in Africa
Mwaya WaKitavi has been developing a partnership with the Pentecostal Assemblies of God-Uganda to provide them a Reformed worldview through training and educational materials.
World Missions is seeking a Muslim Ministry Coordinator for West Africa to help missionaries think through strategies for working among Muslims, primarily in Nigeria. This person will also work with churches to help them understand Islam better.
