The Office of Social Justice and Hunger Action (OSJHA) responds to God’s call to let justice flow like a river in our personal and communal lives as well as in the structures of our societies.

What’s New

The OSJHA has been working closely with the Micah Challenge, a global Christian movement designed to meet the poverty-fighting Millennium Development Goals by 2015.

This is a big year in the fight against poverty, as we reach the halfway point between the commitment to the Millennium Development Goals in 2000 and their projected achievement.

We continue to build and organize social justice networks in Christian Reformed communities through our monthly e-newsletter, The Advocate, and through our social justice website at www.crcjustice.org. The site offers tools, resources, action ideas, worship aids, and information on issues like hunger, poverty, refugees, and more.

In coming months we will continue to work collaboratively on the Micah Challenge and other social justice issues with the Christian Reformed World Relief Committee and organizations such as Bread for the World and KAIROS: Canadian Ecumenical Justice Initiatives.
