Jesus People by Danny Gokey

Three-time Grammy nominee and American Idol alum Danny Gokey enjoys diversity, and his latest album, “Jesus People” reflects the feeling. On this new album, listeners get to explore some new things and cross some genre borders. “I'm excited for listeners to hear the collaborations with the special guests featured on the project, including gospel, Latin and even a little rap,” Gokey said in a release. The record exudes encouragement and offers themes of love, gratitude, and truth. The 12 tracks include English and Spanish versions of “We All Need Jesus” and the first single, “Stand in Faith.” A heart-grabbing song occupies track No. 11, “Stay Strong,” with beauty and bold lyrics. The chorus states, “But if I never see the promise; On this side of the grave; My hope might be shaken; But my faith will never break; Because I know the day is coming; When you’ll right all of the wrong; So I’ll praise you in waiting; And my faith will stay strong.” Gokey’s record provides substantial hope in these uncertain times.
