Members of the 63-voice choir of Manhattan (Mont.) Christian High School traveled late last fall to Manhattan, N.Y., to perform at Carnegie Hall.

The choir joined other choirs and the New England Symphonic Ensemble in a performance of Handel’s Messiah, under the direction of renowned English composer, arranger, and choral conductor John Rutter.

The invitation came as a result of reviews of the choir’s performances.

The choir members also sang two numbers at Ground Zero, site of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center.

“The one thing that was evident throughout the trip was God’s faithfulness,” said Dave Hoekema, father of one of the choir members. “He was there in the invitation, the fund raising, the concerts, and in his safe-keeping of the choir members.”
