The JJ Weeks' Band established itself in the Christian music scene with Billboard’s Top 10 Radio Hits such as “Let Them See You” and “What Kind of Love.” But that season concluded, and Weeks has embarked on a solo career. His first recording offers a six-song EP (extended play) titled “The Sound of Freedom.” Weeks’ voice is powerful and inviting; the sound resonates as effervescent pop with rejuvenating soulful elements. The title cut became the third radio single off the EP. “Imagine standing guilty in front of a judge and jury and your sins, condemnation, temptations, hopelessness, depression, not feeling like you’re enough, fear and whatever you may be dealing with is all laid out for everyone to see,” Weeks said in a release. “Then, with one word coming from the corner of the room, it all vanishes because the king says, ‘That’s my child.’ That’s the freedom I’m talking about in this song!” This EP features a winning combination of music and message.
