The worship music world seems crowded these days, but there is definitely room for North Point Worship’s eight-song EP Find a Reason, with its worthy songs of praise and dependence upon God. One selection, “Light Breaking Through,'' was based on singer Lauren Lee’s battle with postpartum depression. “Praising God” focuses on lifting up God’s name in the good and difficult times. “Hallelujah (Why We Sing)” is infused with a gospel feel. But the EP highlight is the title track. “‘Find A Reason’ was written a few months ago when a global pandemic was breaking out,” said Brett Stanfill in a release, “and we had also just received word of a few different tragedies that had occurred in our local community. In that time, and in so many times throughout my life, I had to remember that regardless of bleak circumstances, heartbreak, fear or loss, God is still good, and he is still worthy of my praise.” If you enjoy upbeat worship music, a variety of voices, and a hopeful message, this record will delight you and fill you with hope.
