King & Country have blessed the music world with their talents for a while now, so it’s hard to believe “What Are We Waiting For” marks only their fifth studio record. Brothers Luke and Joel Smallbone tackle relevant issues here, centering on commitment, unity, and family. “Going through struggle, you end up asking yourself some interesting questions like, ‘What am I doing with my life? What do I want to be known for? What am I living for?’ I think the phrase, ‘What Are We Waiting For,’ encompasses the meaning behind this album,” Luke said in a release. “This album is an opportunity for us, together, to get moving together again into what we believe is a very bright future,” added Joel. The record offers two No. 1 singles: “Relate” and “Together,” which features Kirk Franklin and Tori Kelly. “Unity” (with Dante Bowe) says in part, “You and me in unity; Walk with me down a lonely street; Talk to me, tell me what you see; Stand by me so the world will see.” This recording provides hope, challenge and encouragement.
