Jasmine Brady offers listeners worship and reflection in an anthem style with her latest release, Lover of My Soul. “With Lover of My Soul, I felt impressed to write songs full of victory and hope," Brady said in a release. "People are facing impossible situations, and Jesus is the only answer. When others sing these songs, I want them to be reminded that God has already won our battles at the cross and no one loves us more than he does. As Psalm 23 reminds us, we may walk through the valley of the shadow of death, but we will fear no evil because he is with us.” Three songs center on the Holy Spirit: the opener “Overflow,” “Just Like Fire," and the country revival tune, “The Spirit and the Bride.” The latter gets the toes tapping when the music starts flowing. “Carry Me (Joshua’s Song)” pays tribute to Brady’s late brother, and the title cut focuses on the truth of God’s Word. Listeners will also hear some gospel music overtones as Brady is a descendant of both the famed Hemphill and Goodman families. (Regeneration Music)
