Nicaragua was the setting for the seventh global conference organized by the International Association for the Promotion of Christian Higher Education (IAPCHE).
The conference drew 145 delegates from 34 countries who met for five days to discuss how their shared worldview shapes Christian higher education across a wide variety of academic disciplines.
Rev. Dr. José Alcántara, professor at Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico, was elected the new chair of the board, reflecting the huge increase in Christian higher education in the developing world.
IAPCHE is headquartered at Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa.
