West Michigan Team Wins State Title

For the first time in the history of Holland (Mich.) Christian High School, the women’s volleyball team captured the state championship in Class B. Coach Amy Berkenpas said the team’s theme through the season, which included 50 wins and 12 losses, was “Glorify God.”

“It all came together—all of the hard work, conditioning, tears, and the laughter were rewarded,” Berkenpas said. “We could look at how women of God were supposed to act.”
