The British import Made in Dagenham is a timely reminder of the sense of social justice that was once at the heart of organized labor, an element that can be easy to forget when hearing about recent labor talks between billionaire NFL owners and millionaire athletes. A dramatization of the 1968 efforts of female factory workers to achieve equal pay at a Ford plant in England, the movie panders at times to emotional uplift, but it’s still an invigorating tale of victory for the socially oppressed.
