Stars Go Dim’s Chris Cleveland offers listeners an encouraging dose of God’s faithfulness in his third studio album, Grace in the Wilderness. Cleveland co-wrote all 13 tracks, and the music features a good balance of soft and up-tempo pop. “This is Love” earned Cleveland a No. 1 radio hit and leads off the project. It says in part, “It’s out of my hands; Might not make no sense; I’m failing, I’m all in; Oh, oh, oh this is love; Oh, oh, oh showing up; When it gets tough.” The song, “Yes He Does,” provides hope for the broken and hurting. Cleveland talked about it in a release: “I think it's the exact reminder that I need in my life every day to know that God isn't just far away and distant, but is personal and here with me in everything I do. It can be easy to lose sight of that, especially in the chaos of life. This song reminds me that no matter what is going on around me, God's love isn't through with me yet.” Formed originally as a mainstream pop band, Stars Go Dim’s voice in the Christian market is worthy of attention.
