Love & The Outcome, the husband-wife duo of Jodi King and Chris Rademaker, inspires listeners to find hope in the midst of difficulty with its third studio album, “Only Ever Always.” The duo knows too well the pain of hardship as the release date of the album coincided with the one-year anniversary of a flood that destroyed their Nashville, Tenn., home. The record’s sound is upbeat, bouncy, and infused with an electro-pop feel, and the words are heartfelt, encouraging, and point to hope in Jesus. The song, “I’m Not Lucky, I’m Blessed,” stands out. The chorus says, “I’m not lucky, I’m blessed; I can’t deny it, I’m not lucky, I’m blessed; Why try to fight it; I’m not lucky, I’m blessed; I got a good life; I’m not lucky, I’m blessed; I must confess.” Another strong selection, “I’ll Find You,” reminds one of the old hymn, “It is Well With My Soul,” because the first line states wording from that hymn: “When sorrows like sea billows roll.” This album provides a powerful message with an upbeat sound.
