Lauren Daigle’s debut album, How Can It Be, is focused on redemption, renewal, and faith. The album’s sound echoes pop, soul, and a taste of the blues. Daigle’s voice is deep and soulful. Besides the title track, which rose to top-ten charts last fall, there are a couple of other beauties.
“My Revival” is a toe-tapping, bluesy effort focusing on God’s help and strength, while “Once and for All” features a pretty ballad full of conviction. Because of Daigle’s unique voice and her dedicated heart, the Christian music world will hopefully hear more from this 23-year-old Louisiana native with deep Cajun roots. (Centricity)
